The Council is seeking to appoint determined and ambitious individual Directorate Finance Lead, Senior Grade SS1, within the Financial Management service. The post holder will need to be a confident communication as they will be the Finance lead for Manchester’s Schools Forum and will be expected to write and present public reports.

We would love to hear from you if you have:
- Professional Qualifications: A fully qualified accountant, holding a relevant CCAB or equivalent qualification.
- Experience: Proven experience in a senior financial role within a large organisation, ideally within the public sector.
- Financial Strategy and Analysis: Strong knowledge of budget management, financial analysis, and strategic planning.
- Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with local government accounting frameworks and relevant legislation.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to conduct strategic and tactical financial analysis, modelling, and evaluation to support data-driven decision-making.
